I want you to do a little Carthage map practice. We will have a quiz on Friday over the map. You won’t be allowed to use your notes. It will mainly focus on the streets. The map practice is also designed to teach you a few things about Microsoft Word.

1. Go to the Video (V) Drive>Osborne>Computer Tutorials>Insert Text Box and Shapes in Word 1st sem       It shows you how to do everything you need to know how to do for the assignment.

Note: Format Shape is the same thing as Format Textbox. 

2. Download this document: Carthage Map and save it as: hr-last name last name-mappractice

3. Make sure you follow the instructions from the video. Check to make sure you:

-Have a header with both you and your partner’s first and last names in the upper right hand corner of the header

-Use size 14 font

-Have no boxes around your text and no fill color inside of your boxes

-Have arrows pointing to all of the streets that run north and south

3. When you finish the assignment, save it in your H drive. You should name it map practice. Make sure you use the correct saving format.
