Week 4

Island Project

Continue working on your island project. I have already given you access to all of the directions that you need for the project except for how to use the camera which I posted below.

Taking Picture With Camera

If you are working on step #4 (Adobe Spark), you will need to borrow a digital camera from me to insert a picture of your island that you created (Step #3). If you are ready to get your drawn picture into your project you will need to take a picture of it with a camera. I have 2 cameras for you to borrow. After you borrow a camera, follow these instructions for taking pictures and saving them to your H Drive

  1. Turn it on
  2. Press the button on top right-hand side of the camera to take the picture.
  3. Press the power button to turn off the camera.
  4. Plug the cord into the camera and to your computer
  5. On one of the cameras you will need to select “PC” on the camera (If no options show up on the camera, you can skip this step)
  6. Open the Folders Icon from the bottom of your computer
  7. Click USB Drive E on the left-hand side of the Folders box
  8. Click DCIM
  9. Click on the name of your camera. It should look something similar to: 100OLYMP.
  10. Click on your picture file. The one at the very bottom should be the last picture that was taken.
  11. Whenever your picture is open on the screen, click on the 3 dots on the top right-hand side of the screen.
  12. Click “Save as”
  13. Save it to the “Pictures” Drive.

Error Messages

If you get an error message or microphone error it is likely pretty easily fixable.

Microphone issue- make sure the microphone is plugged in and press the refresh button; that should fix it

GL Error- if the website keeps crashing while you try to preview it, open the Edge browser. That is the “e” at the bottom of the screen. It’s like Chrome, but it is Microsoft’s version of a web browser. Once you are in edge, go to Adobe Spark and log in.
